Motivated Personal Training transformed my fitness journey with tailored workouts and expert guidance. Highly recommend them for exceptional results!
I am writing to you to submit a very strong recommendation for a trainer who has applied to the Buffalo, NY site. His name is Daniel Smoczynski. I met Dan at Crunch Fitness while working in the spring of 2018. Dan was a new trainer and asked me if I would like a free introductory training session. I agreed. He has been my trainer ever since. I was 56 years old and in moderately good shape. I believed that the training was expensive and I decided, because of that, I would put everything I had into my training and do everything Dan asked me to do (plus 1 rep). 1 quickly realized that Dan found great joy in pushing me to my absolute limit. Almost always, I would leave the one hour training session with my arms aching. I did not ever get injured. Dan immediately evaluated my weaknesses and began a training regimen to correct them. We also discussed my goals. I set my primary goal of bench pressing 315lbs. A crazy weight for my age.

When I was 31 years old, I had been bench pressing 225 Ibs regularly. I weighed 155 lbs at the time. One day, I decided to try 245 lbs. 1 succeeded. I then tried 265 lbs. I succeeded. The next day I began 6 months of waiting for my sholder to heal. I told Dan of this and he assured me that we would proceed in a safe manner. We met twice a week for an hour session. I worked out alone two more hours per week. After a few months of intense shoulder workouts, I tested my bench pressing limit. It was 175 lbs. Over the next two years, Dan worked with me to steadily increase my bench pressing ability while including a full body workout. I progressed to deadlifting 295 lbs. My shoulder press workouts became 21 reps each at 30 Ibs, 40 lbs and 50 lbs. All my weight limits increased steadily and significantly. My bench pressing limit rose to 225 Ibs, then 245 Ibs, 265 Ibs, 275 Ibs and 285 Ibs. Then Dan told me that we would go no higher until I could bench press 225 Ibs for 12 reps. More shoulder workouts, more intense work. I reached my 12 rep goal. I then bench pressed 295 Ibs and, at 58 years old, weighing 185 lbs, I bench pressed 305 Ibs. The next day, my shoulder didn't hurt. The day after that, I bench pressed 275 lbs for 3 reps. During that session, while lowering the weight several times after the 275 reps, I finished with 135 lbs for 35 reps. I was amazed.

During Dan's first year at Crunch Fitness, he received a Trainer of the Month award. We regularly discussed his progress. I became a mentor. He always had between 22 and 26 clients. All leads were developed and nurtured by himself. The next year, Dan set his sights on the Crunch Fitness Trainer of the Year. It was a very close competition. He won. I was very proud of him. When the Crunch Fitness in Hamburg, NY closed during the pandemic, Dan was unable to afford to stay there. He left. He has been my Personal Trainer ever since, stopping over to my house once a week. I have tried working with several other trainers at Crunch Fitness after Dan, with limited success. They just didn't push me the way that Dan did. Once I had been pushed hard to excel, nothing else would do. Over the years that I have worked with Dan, a few traits have become clear to me. First, his true passion in life is to be a Personal Trainer. He loves it. Second, he is exceptionally good at motivating anyone who is willing. He will push you harder than anyone ever has. Third, he is driven. Once he sets a goal, either for himself or for a client, he is singularly focused on achieving it. I (almost) never make an unsolicited recommendation. Dan has earned my recommendation. I hope that you give Dan a chance to continue living his dream as one of your employees.

I have worked with Dan Smoczynski a few times throughout the years. He was my trainer in boot camp training at Crunch fitness and because I saw results, I hired him 1:1 as my personal trainer. Dan is extremely passionate about health and fitness. He is very good at what he does. He motivates people, tailors his trainings to each individual needs and kept certainly challenged me to be my best. I was energetic and empowered after every workout with him. The techniques he taught me, changed my life. Life long gym junkie,

As a smaller person the gym has always been quite an intimidating place so when I first walked into training with Dan I had absolutely no idea what to expect. I had no idea how to eat, how to work out, how to stretch or even that I needed to get proper sleep to really finish off my workout. Dan made me tackle of these things head on myself starting the first day. He made me feel confident knowing I was doing correct workouts for myself, every workout I did he explained the science of what my body was doing and why It was important for me, and it didn't stop there he would even tell me what I should try to eat that night for best results. He's a great man who you can trust to take good care of you and to not just be there to help you get a great workout but he's there to listen and be your friend as well. Through my experience you shouldn't just book with Dan to get results but to have someone who will listen to your needs as well. 10/10 experience. Thank you Dan!
